As we draw a close to the year and look forward to 2025 and beyond I thought it would be a good time to share how I’m thinking about the next evolution of our beloved customers’ shopping journey.
TMI? It’s going to be even more personal: AI-driven recommendations based on real-time behavior and context, not just demographics.
Channel-agnostic: Seamless movement between online and offline touchpoints, with services like virtual try-ons and instant pickup bridging the gap.
They did WHAT?!? Experience-focused: Physical stores transforming into interactive spaces while social media becomes a primary shopping platform.
Waste not, want not: Growing emphasis on environmental impact and ethical consumption, fueling the rise of second-hand markets and rentals (just wash it before you wear it).
Technology-boosted: AR, VR, and AI assistants (and who knows what other acronyms your parents won’t know) creating new ways to discover and interact with products.
